Mixed media
There’s just something about working on paper that makes me happy. I love the feel of ink and pencil on paper, which is probably why I love carrying my sketchbook with me. I love dragging pens over the surface of each page.
My mixed media work is done on brightly colored scrapbook or pastel papers. I use a variety of wet and dry media on each piece such as colored pencils, Posca paint pens, brush pens, Microns, Copic markers, pastels, gouache, and watercolor pencils.

Paintings
I like to work in acrylic paint. As one who cartoons, my work tends to be grounded in a whimsical line… bold and expressive. I tend to use a myriad of blues as the color speaks to me, as well as a bright cheerful color palette. I guess you can’t take the cartoonist out of me.

Collage
Cut Paper. Glue. Put the two together and you get collage. I have a talent for saving paper. It’s a gift. I slice through magazines, old books, advertising, squirrel nut zipper wrappers, whatever. I’ve got plastic bins full of paper, some are scraps I’ve saved for over 20 years. How’s that for paper hoarding!?
